Accessibility statement

Harwick Furniture, LLC is working to make harwickchairs.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, speech input or other assistive technology.

Conformance target

This site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. That is our target and the standard we test against. We do not claim full conformance: accessibility is measured against real use, and parts of any site can fall short between reviews.

What we test

Every page is checked with automated tooling (axe-core) on each release, and by keyboard on every interactive flow, including the parts filter, quantity entry, add to order, cart and both inquiry forms. Colour pairs are checked for a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface components. Motion is limited and honours the operating system's reduced-motion setting.

Known limitations

  • Automated testing catches roughly a third of possible failures. A full independent audit, including screen reader testing by disabled testers, has not yet been completed.
  • Some replacement parts are photographed as a complete chair because no photograph of the individual part exists. Those listings carry a visible caption and alt text describing what the photograph actually shows.
  • Payment is completed on Stripe's hosted checkout page. That page is maintained by Stripe and is outside our direct control.
  • A small number of legacy PDF documents and two older videos have not yet been remediated or captioned. We will replace or caption them, and can supply the information in another format on request.

Report a barrier

If anything on this site prevents you from finding a chair, ordering a part or contacting us, tell us and we will fix it and help you complete what you were doing.

We aim to respond within two business days. Please include the page address and what you were trying to do.
